The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Mogaji Olasunkanmi Tegbe, has revealed that all members of the party will vote and support all its candidates during this year’s general elections despite the ongoing impasses among some governors in the party.

Speaking with media men in Ibadan during a media briefing, the foremost technology and financial consultant, stated that not withstanding the dispute between the G5 governor headed by Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and the oligarchy of the party over the national chairmanship position which he believes would end any time, all members and Nigerians, who have the well-being of the country at heart will vote and support all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

“Everywhere I go, I tell people, vote PDP all through. Atiku is the most prepared and suitable among the top three Presidential candidates.

“Irrespective of what happens, at the end of the day, we’ll vote PDP. The differences between Makinde and Atiku will be settled. What Wike and Makinde are fighting for is something I agree with from an ideological point of view 100 percent. But as a party, we must be united,” he said.

Speaking further, the erudite consultant explained the rationale behind his decision to join PDP after his sojourn with the All Progressive Congress, APC.

“I joined Seyi Makinde in PDP because he is my preferred of the top gubernatorial candidates in terms of style, simplicity and background.  After stepping down from APC primaries in 2018, I was offered the senatorial ticket of the PDP but I rejected it then because I would never contest against Ajimobi who is my mentor.

“When I got to the PDP, it was already clear within the party that they were not giving my egbon, Kola Balogun, the ticket and other people were already being considered. In fact, the top option was Nureni Adenrian who stepped down and collapsed his political structure for me. By God’s grace, I will win this election then you will see a committed man,” Tegbe said.

The former head of Advisory Services of KPMG Nigeria said he decided to serve as a senator to see to the sponsorship of impactful policies that will drive investment into Oyo State, when elected, thus positively impacting the lives of the people – both young and old.

“As your Senator come 2023 by God’s grace, I will work with other National Assembly members to make laws that will impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians. Be rest assured of an inclusive and productive representation.”

“I will create a welfare system for our senatorial district and facilitate the establishment of a tech hub with a focus on ICT and technical skills that will create immediate benefits and a better future for our youth,” Tegbe added.
