A close advisor of FC Lorient’s Terem Moffi said there were too many tempting offers for the in-demand Super Eagles striker, adding it is now a question of choice and preference as the departure of the Nigeria international from is imminent this January transfer window.

Moffi is joint second-highest scorer in Ligue 1 this season along with Lille’s Jonathan David with 12 goals behind Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappé who has 13 goals.

Two English Premier league sides, West Ham and Southampton as well as French Ligue 1 side OG Nice have openly indicated interest to acquire the signature of the lanky forward but his long-standing confidant said the next destination of his protégé will be confirmed soon.

“The offers are many; and the interests indicated are even more,” the usual taciturn confidant who pleaded anonymity told NationSport in a terse message. “Lorient are ready to sell. “

At the weekend, Lorient reportedly rejected a €15m( about N7.3 Billion) initial offer from Nice who had since upped their bid to €18m (about N8.8 Billion) while West Ham tabled an improved €25m (about N12.2 Billion) only on Monday.

Amid the on-going wheeling and dealing between West Ham and Nice , our correspondent gathered that ‘no Jupiter’ can stop Moffi from swapping the dark orange and black colours this January.

“Everything points to a transfer for him this January window,” Moffi’s advisor added.

But it emerged yesterday from different news outlets that under pressure West Ham ‘s manager David Moyes may have lost the bid to bring the Nigerian to their London Stadium with words rife that the 23-year-old might be heading to Nice’s Allianz Riviera.

A French journalist Santi Aouna in a response to a talkSPORT report that Lorient are set to reject West Ham’s bid for Moffi, claimed the Nigerian youngster does not want to sign for The Irons but would rather move to Nice.

“Player doesn’t want West Ham,” Aouna said on Twitter.“He wants Nice.”

But it yet remains to be seen who would eventually capture the Nigerian ace by the time the January transfer window close on Tuesday, January 31.
