Dangote Cement (Ibese Plant) has donated 25,000 pieces of 100kg bags for the management of agro-waste.
Plant Director, Azad Nawabuddin, presenting the bags to Chief Executive Officer of Niels Deck Limited, Daniel Akpan, restated their mission to provide 100,000 bags to empower communities and youths by stimulating use of agro-waste as alternative fuel.
Nawabuddin said the donation was part of efforts to encourage use of alternative fuel to eliminate carbon emission.
Akpan hailed Dangote Cement for the gesture, saying: “This will improve our waste management drive in communities, create more jobs and sustain the livelihood of people across agro-waste management value chain.’’
“As an advocate of decarbonisation, Niels is in the forefront of implementation of global initiatives for sustainable environment in communities’’, he said.
