Hundred Days In Office: EKSG Rehabilitates Seven Township Roads

The present administration in Ekiti State under Mr Biodun Oyebanji has completed the rehabilitation of seven (7) township roads within his One Hundred (100) days in office in the Ado Ekiti metropolis.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Mr Sunday Komolafe gave the information while monitoring the completed and on-going rehabilitation works on the roads.

According to him, the roads include ; Matthew street – St Paul Anglican Church, Odo Ado (2) Mugbagba – St Paul Anglican Church,(3) Ijigbo Round about – Atikankan, (4) Olukayode Stadium- Okuta Gbokutalori -Old Garage (5)Atikankan- Isato Oke- Sadiat Hotel (6)Basiri road (John Nova Int. School junction) – Adebayo opposite Chicken Republic( 7) Oke Bola – Access road spur Little by Little road.

Mr Komolafe who commended the efforts of the Governor for making lives easy for commuters and other road users, said the roads would go a long way to assist the populace in carrying out their day today activities and reduce accident in the areas.

He said the Ministry was working round the clock to ensure that the contractors delivered to specification and live to expectation.

Speaking on the quality of the job, the Ministry’s boss said that the present administration was zero tolerant to shoddy jobs stressing that the Ministry does not give room for the use of sub standard materials as they embark on close monitoring and supervision of the projects.

Those that are still ongoing as listed by the Permanent Secretary are: (1)Agric Olope – Moferere – Odo Ado( 2) GRA 3rd Extension (3) Oke Ila – Housing Corporation ( 4)Oja Oba – Post Office – Palace road and Oladele street at Awedele, which are expected to be delivered soon.
