Barely four days to the General elections in Nigeria, Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Commandant Adaralewa Micheal has reassured of the command’s commitment to provide adequate security with professionalism in line with the electoral act for the coverage of the elections.

The Commandant gave the assurance during the recap of the security evaluation in the state with all management teams and Heads of Departments in attendance.

According to a statement signed by the Command Public Relation Officer, DSC Oyindamola Okuneye, the Commandant noted that the  security agency is ready for the elections that will come up on February 25, 2023.

He charged officers and men of the corps to be professional with a high sense of discipline and fairness while discharging their duties throughout the electioneering process.

Adaralewa, reiterated that all the training given to officers before the elections would enable them exhibit professionalism before, during and after the elections.

He also enjoined members of the public to adhere to the laws guiding elections, while also admonishing parents to warn their wards against disrupting the peaceful process of election as anyone found disturbing the peace would face the full wrath of the law.
