Oyo Assembly Seat: Fowokanmi Dedicates Victory To God

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded House of Assembly election in Oyo State, Oluwafemi Fowokanmi has dedicated victory at Ibadan South West state constituency 2 to God and the good people of his constituency.

According to Prof. Kolawole Falade, who is the INEC Returning Officer, announced that Hon. Oluwafemi Fowokanmi polled a total number of 16,328 votes to defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Idris Ajimobi, who scored a total number of 7,755 votes.

The Accord Party candidate, Wahab Babamide came third after he got a total number of 2,768 votes.

Based on the results announced by the INEC Returning Officer, Hon. Oluwafemi Fowokanmi defeated Idris, who is the son of the late former governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi with the merging of 8,573 votes.

Following his electoral victory, Hon. Oluwafemi Fowokanmi has also sent his appreciation message to the people of Ibadan South West state constituency 2 for keeping to their promise.

The Honorable-elect also extended the appreciation message to the people of Oyo State at large for the trust they have in the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde.

He assured them that the PDP led administration in Oyo State will consolidate on its achievements to give the people of state better means of livelihood.
