Electoral Victories: Ekiti APC Elders Congratulate Tinubu, Oyebanji

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum in Ekiti State has congratulated President-elect Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji on their victories at the polls.

The forum, led by Chief George Akosile, described Tinubu’s victory as a manifestation of his political sagacity, endurance, tolerance, hope and loyalty to the tenet of the party.

The forum, in a statement by its leader, hoped Asiwaju Tinubu would turn around Nigerians’ fortunes and bring dividends of democracy to their doorsteps in the areas of security, education, health and welfare.

The elders hailed Governor Oyebanji for his victory at the Election Tribunal, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

The forum said: “This victory is an indication of the massive support given to his administration by the people of Ekiti State.”

It added that the giant strides of the administration were visible in the area of infrastructural development.

“These include the approved Federal Government Free Knowledge Zone for Ekiti, which is between Ado-Ekiti and Ijan-Ekiti, the establishment and construction of Air Force base at Igbimo-Ekiti by the Nigeria Air Force, the development of human capacity and the peaceful atmosphere enjoyed by residents.”

The forum also congratulated the nine National Assembly members from Ekiti State as well as the 24 members of House of Assembly for their success during the recent elections.

It appealed to the lawmakers to work in conjunction with the governor to foster good governance in Ekiti State.

The forum added: “The Ekiti APC Elders’ Forum is praying to God to give President-elect Tinubu, Governor Oyebanji and House of Assembly members the grace, wisdom and blessings to bring about the concept of new Nigeria where all Nigerians will be happy and comfortable.”
