Mother of The Nation Managing Editor, Northern Operation, Yusuf Alli, Hajiya Hawau Odee Yusuf, is dead.
Hajiya Yusuf who died at 89 was buried on Sunday in accordance with Islamic rites.
Alhaji Yusuf earlier took to his Facebook page to write: “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I am grateful that Allah has called my mother, Hajiya Hawau Yusuf to eternal glory @89, a few months short of 90 years. May Allah grant my irreplaceable mum Aljanna Firdaus. Amin Thuma, Amin.”
She is survived by six children, including Abdulhamid, Yusuf, Abdulrahman, Misitura Solih, Afusat and Ismaila.
The Fidau for the deceased will hold next Saturday.
