As aggressive road construction and rehabilitation of the present administration continues to attract commendation, the people of Omisanjana have commended the Governor Biodun Oyebanji for embarking on the construction of Omisanja-Ajebandele road.
Speaking with journalists at the site in Ado, one of the landlords in the area, Alhaji Akande Lasisi who could not hide his feelings towards the construction of the road expressed appreciation to the Governor for rescuing the people from the untold hardship encountered while coming in and going out of the area.
Akande who lamented the poor state of the road before the commencement of the work, stressed that it was difficult for both motorcycles and vehicles to ply the road and thereby caused problems for the residents of the area to move from there to the other side of the town.
Another resident of the area, Mrs Falade Adetunji who is also a landlady in the community, commended the efforts of the Governor for keeping to his electioneering promises.
Mrs Adetunji explained that the landlords’ association of the community paid a visit to the Governor before the election where they requested for theconstruction of the road and was surprise as he kept his promise.
In his comments, a motorcyclist, Mr Adesuyi Adebiyi, showered encomium on the Governor for opening up the area, stressing that the road construction has allowed for free flow of vehicles and will improve the economic activities of the area when completed.
Mr Adebiyi who prayed for God’s protection and wisdom for the Governor to enable him continue his good works, appealed to government to construct speed breakers to prevent reckless driving so as to avert accident on the road.
Answering some questions from journalists, the Permanent Secretary ofthe Ministry of Works and Transport, Mr Sunday Komolafe stressed the commitment of the present administration to provision of conducive environment for the people of the state, adding that Biodun Oyebanji led government is determined embark on aggressive road repair across the state.
According to him, the present administration was working round the clock to prevent flooding this year with an advice to the those plying the road to drive carefully to avert accident.
