The family left behind by one time governor of Oyo State, Alhaji (Dr) Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina has joined other Nigerians to congratulate the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on the occasion of his inauguration on Monday as the President of the country.
In a very special statement signed and sent to PMParrot by the first son of the late politician, Dr Ayobami Wasiu Lam-Adesina, the family said the emergence of Tinubu as the new leader of the country is a very welcome development because it is “a long expected and anticipated occurrence that many Nigerians have been praying for”.
Dr Ayobami emphatically reiterated: “this has always been what our late father, Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina believed in. He used to say that Asiwaju is a presidential material.
“We are thankful to God that we are witnessing this new era. As Nigerians, we believe Tinubu’s coming will user in new hope for all the people of the country at home and abroad.”
The erudite son of the former governor also used the opportunity to congratulate all progressive politicians in the country including Chief Bisi Akande, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Raji Fashola, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun, Chief Alake Adeyemo, Chief Akin Oke and others.
He also urged all well-meaning Nigerians to pray for the success of the new administration adding “when Tinubu succeeds, it will mean that Nigeria and Nigerians will be more prosperous. Moreover, our country will be able to attain greater heights because insecurity and other challenges facing us as a nation will be tackled and minimized.
“Permit me to also use this opportunity to congratulate all Nigerians on this occasion and urge all and sundry to pray and cooperate with Tinubu and the people he will ask to join him to work for the country.”
