The demise of Engineer Olanrewaju Dahud Adebisi, another illustrious son of Ibadanland has been announced.
Larry, as the deceased used to be called during his lifetime was a very revered member of the popular Adebisi Idi-Ikan clan in the ancient city.
Engr Adebisi, who died in the early hours of Thursday, June 8, 2023 at a private hospital in the capital city of Oyo State was just preparing for his 80th birthday which was scheduled to hold on August 30, this year.
A family source informed PMParrot that Larry, who attended Ibadan Boys High School before traveling overseas for further education was a Textile Engineer, an astute businessman and was said to be one of the most well-dressed gentlemen in Ibadan during his hey-days.
Said a family source “We are very proud that he was our father. He was the epitome of efficiency. He also insisted on perfection. He worked hard and never encouraged laziness. All those who worked with him when he was running Larry Bakeries within Oluyole Estate in Ibadan in those days can attest to this.”
Larry, who was buried according to Islamic rites by 3pm on Thursday at his family compound at Yemetu, Adeoyo in Ibadan left behind, Alhaja Bolatito Adebisi (owner of Mahnatez International School, Oluyole Estate), his wife and their four children led by Oluwatoyin, an America-based business woman.
Many socialites, politicians and religious leaders were sighted at the home of the deceased located behind Total Filling Station, Cement Bus Stop, Oluyole Estate, Ibadan before and after his burial on Thursday.
