The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has won an award of ‘distinguished Local Government Chairman in Nigeria’.
The award was presented to him on Thursday at the National Merit House, Maitama Abuja by Rootswatch Magazine.
This award recognized the outstanding accomplishment and contributions of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo on meaningful developmental projects executed for the benefit of his people at the grassroots.
Hon. Sheriff Adeojo thereby dedicated the award to Almighty God, his immediate family, the Ido PDP family, the good people of Ido local government, and most especially the Executive Governor of Oyo State His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde for the kind of leadership he demonstrated at the state level that he is emulating.
The council boss seized the opportunity to express his sincere appreciation to all residents of Ido Local Government for their support so far and to solicit continuous support to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
In his address, Chief Bayode Ojo, the chief editor of Rootswatch magazine and national coordinator of distinguished local government chairmen merit award said all the chairmen being unveiled for the conferment of this award have passed the litmus test of accountable leadership.
The Chairman was accompanied to the event by his darling wife, Mrs. Ifedolapo Adeojo.
