The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, Adebola Hamzat has reiterated the need for collaborative efforts with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) towards combating insecurity and crime in the state.
CP Adebola Hamzat made this disclosure on Friday during a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Command of the NSCDC while reaffirming the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to work in collaboration with the Civil Defence and other sister agencies in a bid to rid the state of criminal activities.
He further enjoined the two agencies to work in unison without rivalry towards enhancing adequate security of lives and property in the state.
Responding, the Oyo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr Michael Adaralewa commended the new Commissioner of Police for the trust reposed in NSCDC while assuring him of the Corps’ readiness to collaborate with the Police force especially in information gathering geared towards tackling insecurity in the state.
Commandant Adaralewa further admonished the residents of the state to always provide credible information to the agencies that will help to nip crime in the bud.
