The Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to improved working conditions and better welfare packages for the staff of the organization in order to boost service delivery of the company.

It further stated that the management will not condone any illegal and sharp practices among its staff members while reaffirming that anyone caught in illegal activities will not be spared.

The Management stated this during the signing of conditions of service for its workers led by the President General, Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies, (SSAEC) Comrade (Engr.) Chika Benedict and Secretary, Comrade Nnamdi Ajibo Vincent at the company’s headquarters in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State on Thursday.

Speaking further, Mrs Busolami Tunwase, the company’s lead media relations officer stated that the signing of the improved working conditions for members of the organization was necessitated following the recent petrol subsidy removal adding that it is part of plans to improve workers’ welfare and boost their morale.

She added that the recently introduced palliative measure for members of staff is to further reduce the pains associated with the recent subsidy removal that has caused untold hardship to many Nigerians.
