The family left behind by one time governor of Oyo State, Alhaji (Dr) Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina has joined others to mourn the demise of Babasale Musulumi of Ibadan Land, Alhaji (Chief) Lateef Oyelade.
The family described the death of the ‘great promoter of Islamic religion’ as a huge loss to the Muslim Community in Ibadan land and Oyo State in general.
In a special statement signed and sent to PMParrot by the scion of the late politician, Dr Ayobami Wasiu Lam-Adesina, the family also described the deceased as a ‘veritable man of peace’.
“We believe Ibadanland has lost a man who served as a rallying point for indigenes of the ancient town. Our prayer is that Almighty Allah should grant him Aljanah Firdaus,” Dr Ayobami Lam-Adesina said in the statement said.
“It is also our prayer that Allah should keep and protect the family he left behind. May his soul rest in peace.”
