As part of the fulfillment of one of the electioneering campaign promises he made to the people of Ward 12 Felele area of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Olayinka Omikunle, member representing the constituency at the Oyo State House Of Assembly has drilled a borehole at IMG Primary School Ibuko Olorunsogo, Ibadan.
Hon. Omikunle who was on ground throughout the borehole drilling process to affirm the quality of the project also made a promise to commence a community car wash with immediate effect and it will be operated by the youth and members of the community.
According to the Oyo lawmaker, “We are doing this dual project with the aim of providing better lives for our constituents. During our campaign, we promised to find a solution to the issue of water scarcity in this area, as you complained about how difficult it has been for you to get water in this area and today we are putting an end to lack of water in Olorunsogo, Felele area while we are giving you a community car wash which is going to be run by the youths and members of this community.
“Meanwhile, let me state it clear that the water is going to be free for everybody while the people in charge of the community car wash will be running the borehole through the money they will be making from it”. Hon. Omikunle stated.
Speaking on behalf of landlords and landladies Association of the area, Alhaji Tirimisiyu Adekunle Gbadamosi appreciated the efforts of Hon. Omikunle on ensuring that he fulfills his promise within his short period in office as a lawmaker. He then promised the support of his people for Omikunle while praying to almighty Allah to continue to guide and bless him in all his endeavors.
Alhaji Gbadamosi, therefore charged all other politicians to emulate Omikunle’s good deed as he did not expect this project to be as fast as this.
Chief Olayinka Banjo, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ibadan South East Local Government and one of the strong members of Olorunsogo/Felele community lauded the efforts of Omikunle who ensured he put an end to the suffering of the people of Olorunsogo.
Pastor Ayodele Eleko, a member of Felele community thanked Hon.Omikunle who deemed it necessary to continue to support the people of his constituency.
