Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council on Monday mourned the passing of the wife of a former Director, Radio Nigeria Ibadan, Elder Denrele Ajisefinni, Mrs Mary Ajisefinni.
The news of Madam’s death in the early hours of Monday came not only as a rude shock but also devastating because of her roles as a real mother-figure in the Ajisefinni’s dynasty.
The Union in a statement by the Chairman, Ademola Babalola and Secretary, Sola Oladapo respectively expressed the Union’s grief over her death and enjoined Mr Ajisefinni to take heart and hold firmly to God’s decision because “all mortals shall taste death at their appointed time”.
The NUJ prayed God to be with Mr Ajisefinni and all those the deceased left behind.
“Our Boss and Leader, Elder Denrele Ajisefinni, this is one death too many for you but take solace in the fact that Madam served God till her appointed time.
“Be strong and hold on, unto God, who knows why he took her away at this moment of her sojourn on the planet earth.
“We pray for the repose of her soul and beseech God to grant you the fortitude to bear her untimely death,” the release added.
