The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has advised Nigerians to connect with God so that the country and the citizens can experience accelerated progress.

Adeboye said this on Sunday during the monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG headquarters at Ebute Meta in Lagos, where he spoke on the theme: Divine Acceleration.

The general overseer, who described the opposite of accelerated promotion as accelerated demotion, said the time has come for Nigerians to experience a shift from struggling to prosperity with abundant blessings.

“Nigerians should humble themselves, like the failed fisherman in the bible who, after toiling throughout the night caught nothing, obeyed the instruction of Master Jesus to move away from the shores and launch into the deep; who humbly obeyed and caught so many fishes that the net broke.

“Nigerians should also learn about humility from King Nebuchadnezzar who was warned. But for refusing to heed the warning by putting himself in the place of Almighty God to be worshipped, he became an animal and had to eat grass in the forest for seven years, which was nothing but accelerated demotion.

“Nigerians as well as the country can experience accelerated promotion if they can humble themselves, cooperate with Him and appreciate the greatest sacrifice for mankind, which no man can make by the gift of His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who took our place on the cruel cross and believed,” Adeboye said.

Also, the Parish Pastor at the Throne of Grace, Adebayo Adeyemo, said if Nigerians can trust God, align with His will, the country and the citizens would experience accelerated promotion.

He added that if Nigerians could give the current administration a chance, as the dollar has started to depreciate, every challenge mitigating against the progress of the country would be surmounted and the economy would progress.
