Veteran Gospel Singer, Evangelist Bola Are has cautioned Christian/gospel musicians in the country against using vulgar language to glorify God adding that He deserves full respect.

She said, “Gospel musicians must be careful of using words that do not glorify God. The gospel is all about Jesus, and when you sing outside of Jesus, you are not singing the gospel”.

She stated this during a live radio show monitored by PMParrot on Fresh 105.9 FM in Ibadan anchored by Bayo Faleke on Friday evening.

Dr. Are added, “I don’t flatter and sing praises of people on stage, it is not my style. Some gospel musicians have incurred the wrath of God by the style and language of their music”.

She further revealed that she resigned her appointment as the president of GOMAN before the expiration of her second term in office through the leading of the Lord.

Speaking on the forthcoming 50th anniversary of Bola Are on stage, she submitted “Exactly on 26th June, I clocked 50 years on stage and that day I left Nigeria for Israel and Jordan to praise and appreciate God over His faithfulness in my life and ministry. The actual celebration of the anniversary will be held this December to commemorate my active years on stage.

The gospel artiste, however, revealed how God saved her and her crew members from a ghastly motor accident after her evangelistic outreach in the Northern part of Nigeria after God led her to speak against cult related activities happening in the church.

“I remember when we went for an outreach in the North, the Lord revealed some strange things to me while seated in the auditorium and God instructed me to speak against it. Afterwards, the organisers were angry with me and I was not even given honorarium. They vowed to deal with us for exposing their activities, and on our way we encountered an accident around Birnin Gwari but God saved us miraculously”.
