Ibadan Based NGO Urges Youths To Shun Materialism, Honours Parrot Xtra’s Sports Editor

An Ibadan based non-governmental organization, Ray Unit Association, led by its chairperson, Ahmed Yusuf has counselled youths to shun materialism, thuggery.

Mr Yusuf further stated that the mission of the organization is to empower indigent Nigerian youths and women to live a meaningful and purposeful life.

Speaking on the activities of the organization, “We hold annual public lectures; health awareness and public enlightenment program for youths, women empowerment program, educational lectures in order to empower well-meaning Nigerians”.

The Coordinator gave this advice during a Presentation of Role Model award to Mr. Olanrewaju Agiri, Sport Editor, Parrot Xtra Magazine in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State.

He stated that the organization has successfully awarded scholarships to indigents Nigerians students courtesy of the efforts of well-meaning philanthropists.

“We appreciate the contribution of our well-meaning Nigerians for supporting indigent students with the payment of WAEC, NECO and JAMB fees and for supporting our yearly programs”.

He, however, urged Nigerian youths to shun materialism, drug abuse, thuggery and aim to become good role models in the society.
