Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has revealed that he is not planning to quit the national team soon.

The 31-year-old, who is eyeing his second AFCON title, has not played any game for the Super Eagles in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Sivasspor of Turkish Super forward said he is still an active player and he will accept a national team call-up if the coach invites him.

“I am not planning to leave the national team now because I’m still an active player. I am still playing and if the coach invites me to the national team I will honour the invitation,” Musa said.

The former Kano Pillars striker added that he is not worried about his lack of playing time at 2023 AFCON, stressing that what is important to him is to see the team winning their matches.

“People who know me know that I am a patient someone. I have played for the team, country, and players to win; it is also good for my teammates to play for me and win for the country. The most important thing for me is to win, and anything can happen tomorrow. I am a player who always accepts what the coach says; whenever he decides to put me on, I am fine,” Musa said.
