Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week.
Osimhen was on target in Napoli’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night.
The former Lille forward cancelled out Robert Lewandowski’s opening goal 15 minutes from time.
The goal was the forward’s first in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Osimhen showed good strength to turn Inigo Martinez just inside the penalty area on an Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa through ball and fired in from 14 yards.
Lewandowski, PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen and Porto’s Gelano are the other players in contention for the award.
