Ramadan: Giwa Tasks Muslims On Need To Pray For Nigeria’s Economic Redemption

The Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland, Arc Hassan Olawale Giwa has urged Muslim all over Nigeria to use the opportunity of the holy month of Ramadan to pray for economic redemption of the country.

The foremost philanthropist and founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation also called for good neighbourliness among Muslim faithful in Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.

The appeal was contained in a statement released from the Office of Asiwaju Adini Musulumi of Ibadanland during the week to congratulate Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.

“The holy month of Ramadan is a sacred month when Allah forgives, blesses and rewards Muslim Ummah. Therefore, I want to appeal to all of us Muslim, particularly in Ibadan, Oyo and Nigeria as a whole to take the advantage of this month to pray for economic redemption of our dear country, Nigeria.

“There is no gainsaying that there is an economic crisis and people are suffering immeasurably, what we can do at this point in time is to support our leaders with prayers to change the fortune of this country for the better. Though, the effect of the fuel subsidy removal is hard, however, we should also believe that there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.

“To all well-meaning and wealthy Muslim faithful, this time calls on us to exercise good neighbourliness by giving from the blessing that almighty Allah has blessed us to the people around us as being taught by Prophet Muhammed (SAW) to ease the present hardship in the country.

“I want to congratulate all Muslim leaders, the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba land, Edo and Delta States, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De Damak), Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba (Dr.) Mohood Olalekan Balogun, Ali Okunmade II, Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Sheikh Abdulganiy Agbotomokekere and Council and the League of Imams and Alfas and the other Muslim brothers and sisters in Ibadan land on the commencement of the Holy Ramadan 1445 and I pray that Almighty Allah will accept it from us an act if ibadah.”
