A former attorney general and commissioner for Justice in Oyo state, Mr. Seun Abimbola SAN, has been nominated and appointed into the Body of Benchers.
Abimbola, who is a former chairman of the Ibadan Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and also, the immediate past Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Legal Practice (NBA-SLP), was nominated alongside nine other eminent legal practitioners across the country by NBA.
The Body of Benchers is a professional body concerned with the admission of successful candidates at the Nigerian Law School Bar Final Examination into the Legal Profession, as well as the regulation of the legal profession in Nigeria.

Born in Ibadan over 50years ago, the learned silk, who is the Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA), saddled with the all-important role of being the referee for the forthcoming NBA Elections holding in July 2024, is the senior partner at Prime Solicitors with strong expertise in Litigation, Telecommunications Law, ADR, Appellate practice, Commercial Law, & Intellectual Property.
He is an Arbitrator and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, he is also an Internationally accredited Mediator with CEDR (UK) with vast experience in mediating commercial disputes and sits as a Neutral and Faculty Member of the Multi Door Court houses in Lagos and Oyo state(s).
A member of the International Bar Association, he was named in the global WHO’S WHO LEGAL 2014 and 2016 as the global legal expert in Nigeria in the field of telecommunications, media and technology and was conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (Queen’s Counsel in the UK) in the year 2020 in recognition of his service as an advocate.
