The Chairman of Ido local government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo has called on the farmers in the local government to make judicious use of the agricultural inputs given to them to maintain the lead in food production.
The council boss made the appeal during the distribution of the agricultural inputs to the farmers in conjunction with the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) held at the Ido council secretariat.
Hon. Sheriff Adeojo implored those who were sponsored by the State Government under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde to Zamfara state on Agricultural training to prove their worth by putting the training given into practice and reap its benefits.
Hon. Adeojo concluded that agricultural production will be abundant in the coming year if each and every beneficiary of the agricultural inputs makes good use of the given items.
In his lecture at the occasion, a notable cassava farmer in the local government, Pa Bashir Adesoyan said farming is a quick way to riches as both the inputs and outputs will continue to increase if the farmers take to the training.
He implored them not to be daydreamers who would exchange the given agricultural inputs for money.
Some of the distributed items are fertilizer, herbicide, seedlings of different types, and others.
