All is now set for the leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele to make a special presentation at the 1st Lam Adesina annual lecture in memory of the late former governor of Oyo State, Dr Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina.
The event which is scheduled to hold on Monday, 11 November at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Center, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State will attract Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other dignitaries from all walks of life.
Opeyemi’s lecture is titled ‘Improving Nigeria’s Governance: Lessons from the past, strategies for the future is aimed at redefining and improving the country’s democratic system. The event starts by 10 a.m.
While speaking with PMParrot on Sunday, the chairman of the Planning Committee who also served as the Deputy Governor of Oyo State during Lam Adesina’s tenure, Chief Iyiola Oladokun said “All is set and I believe all our guests will really have a great time listening to Distinguished Senator Opeyemi Bamidele.”
The late Lam Adesina served as a member of the House of Representatives before he became the Executive Governor of Oyo State between 1999 and 2003. He died at the age of 73 years in Lagos on November 11, 2012.
