The technical adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Gbenga Ogunbote, has described the team’s 2-0 defeat suffered against Kwara United as a temporary setback.
The Oluyole Warriors had their 8 games unbeaten run halted by the Ilorin club, who scored a goal in each half to grab maximum points in the rescheduled matchday 20 tie.
Ogunbote admitted that it was an off day for his boys.
“This is just a temporary setback; we need to pick up our pieces and take the positives from it,” he told the club’s media.
“You see, sometimes, when you do not manage success, you pay a price, and sometimes, when you taste defeat and you are able to realize why you were defeated, you can bounce back.
All we need to do is to bounce back by picking up our pieces, make necessary corrections, and move on.”
Shooting Stars, who are currently second on the league table with 40 points after 23 games, will be away to Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri on Sunday.
