D’Rovans Hotel that later got renamed as Walan Hotel in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State is presently being pulled down completely by its present owners.

The hotel, which used to be owned by iconic businessman, Chief Francis Aiyegbeni was sold after his demise in 2016.

When PMParrot visited the site on Wednesday, bulldozers and other earth moving equipment were seen carrying out different activities… Over 60 street urchins and ‘omo oniles’ were seen haggling with the contractors over what they called their ‘dues’.

While operating, Walan Hotels boasted of a hall that could seat over 600 people, it had three blocks of over 100 rooms and suites, a recording studio, shopping complexes, poolside, boutiques, saloon, VIP bar and restaurant.
