Nigeria attacker, Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed his desire to remain in the English Premier League beyond this season despite overtures from foreign clubs.
Since joining Nottingham Forest, Awoniyi has been a key performer for the club but injuries have slowed him down this season.
In an interview with Humble Foot, the forward made his intentions clear stating that he has resolved to remain in the premier League beyond this season.
“For me, it’s always the Premier League,” Awoniyi stated. “My family knows it, my agent knows it — everyone knows the Premier League is my focus. I know when the time comes to say ‘thank you, Premier League’, but for now, I still have two more years at Nottingham Forest. Thank God for that.
“Maybe after those two years, if there are no options and no other clubs come calling, then I’ll consider packing my bags. But for now, I’m here and committed for the next two years.”
