Rita Ebele Maduanusi, Chief Innovation Officer at Turner Innovations Limited, has developed the Responsible AI Workforce Competency Intelligence Framework (RAI-WCIF), a model designed to help organisations use artificial intelligence in workforce decision-making while preserving human accountability.
The framework focuses on five areas: competency evidence, workforce intelligence, AI-assisted analysis, digital trust, and human governance. It argues that AI should support, rather than replace, human judgment in decisions affecting employment and career opportunities.
Maduanusi’s research also highlights the need to distinguish between a person lacking a skill and simply lacking enough evidence to prove that skill. The framework is intended to support better skills-gap analysis, workforce planning and responsible use of AI across organisations.
The work is currently conceptual and is proposed for further testing across different industries and labour markets.
