Arsenal are Premier League champions again and Bukayo Saka wasted no time silencing the critics who spent years questioning whether this generation of Gunners had what it takes.

Saka, alongside teammates Declan Rice, Eberechi Eze and Jurrien Timber, was pictured outside the Emirates Stadium as the celebrations stretched deep into the night. Standing beside a now-glowing Premier League trophy at the club’s training ground — one specially designed to light up the moment Arsenal won the title — Saka delivered his verdict.

“Twenty-two years. There was laughing, there was joking — they’re not laughing anymore,” he said. “It is going to be shining bright.”

The title was confirmed when Manchester City could only draw at Bournemouth, sparking jubilant scenes across north London. The Arsenal squad, gathered at their training ground, erupted as the final whistle blew — players and staff dancing and chanting “Campeones, Campeones, Ole Ole Ole!*

The achievement, secured in Mikel Arteta’s seventh year at the helm, drew warm praise from Nigeria’s football community. Former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu, a two-time Premier League winner with the club during the Arsene Wenger era, was among the first to react.
