Hassan Giwa and 31 other aspirants have been unveiled as candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Oyo State House of Assembly election.
The list was released by the party’s state secretariat on Thursday, following the conclusion of the APC House of Assembly primaries across the 32 state constituencies in Oyo.
Arc. Giwa, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects and Founder of the Hassan Olawale Giwa, HOG, Foundation, secured the APC ticket for the Lagelu State Constituency.
He has over 20 years’ experience in urban planning, infrastructure design, and community development.
Arc. Giwa is widely recognized for his track record, achievements, and contributions to Lagelu Local Government, Ibadanland, and Oyo State at large.
Reacting to his emergence, Giwa appreciated party executives, elders, leaders, and members for the confidence reposed in him.
“Lagelu deserves purposeful representation. I will not relent in my efforts to uplift our people and ensure the dividends of democracy get to every household,” he said.
It will be recalled that Arc. Hassan Giwa, through his foundation, has facilitated the construction and renovation of classrooms, donated a power-generating set to a general hospital, and paid WAEC, NECO, and JAMB fees for students in Lagelu Local Government and beyond.
