Osun State Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke has expressed confidence that his party will win the August 15 governorship election, citing what he described as visible progress recorded across the state under his administration.

Adeleke made the declaration in a statement posted on his official X account on Tuesday, where he thanked residents for their continued support and assured them that he would not take their trust for granted.

“I appreciate the overwhelming love and support people of Osun State continue to show our campaign. I do not take your trust for granted,” he wrote.

The governor said his administration had brought visible changes to the state over the past three years, urging residents to acknowledge the difference in governance.

“Today, Osun is witnessing the difference that purposeful, people-centered governance can make. You have seen the contrast. You are experiencing the progress across the state,” he stated.

With less than 15 days to the election, Adeleke said the momentum was on his side and expressed confidence that the Accord Party would emerge victorious.

“There is no turning back. Together, we will keep moving Osun forward. I’m confident ACCORD will win on August 15. Tell your neighbors: NO SHAKING. Imole is coming back,” he said.

Meanwhile, Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has declared his support for his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

The singer announced this in a post on X on Tuesday, saying he’s been focused on his album but will be in Osun for the campaign.

“Being so busy with my album and music as it should be, but tomorrow we hit OSUN for @AAdeleke_01,” Davido wrote.

He added that the Adeleke camp is not intimidated by any opposition.

“We don’t fear anything; we are back. We believe in God. 4+4 is any intimidation, nah, for Una’s back pocket,” he stated.

The “4+4” reference nods to calls for Governor Adeleke to serve a second four-year term.

Davido has been one of his uncle’s loudest supporters since 2022, and his presence is expected to boost turnout for the Accord party in the upcoming poll.
