Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has issued a warning to President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election, vowing to involve United States President Donald Trump if irregularities occur if anything goes wrong in the forthcoming Osun state governorship election.
The Osun State Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, 15th August 2026 and Davido warned that he will let the world know if there is any hanky-panky in the eletion.
Davido issued the warning during a live session with comedian Carter Efe.
He emphasized the importance of a free, fair, and credible election, stating that he would not remain silent if the electoral process was compromised.
“I will involve Trump if anything goes wrong in the Osun election,” Davido said.
The Afrobeats superstar further stated that he would draw international attention to any alleged irregularities.
His warning came ahead of the August 15 governorship election, where Governor Ademola Adeleke, his uncle, is seeking a second term in office.
