One of the former aides of ex-Governor Lamidi Adesina of Oyo State, Comrade Wole Abisoye has passed on.
The activist cum politician died in the early hours of Sunday, August 30, 2026 at the age of 68.
PMParrot gathered that he had been ill for close to three weeks before the final call on Sunday morning.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Adefunke, children and grandchildren.
Comrade Abisoye who served under the Lam Adesina government in Oyo Sate between 1999 and 2003 was well known for his quality leadership while the Progressive Youths Forum, PYF was still vibrant.
He also had very close working relationship with former Governor Rashidi Ladoja who is now the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Abisoye served as the Oyo State Chairman of Z Labour Party.
Since the news of his demise broke in the morning, sympathizers have been paying visits to his Ojoo, Ibadan home.
Until his death, he was a very strong member of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State.
It was gathered that the family will release burial arrangements later in the week.
