Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen has been urged to consider a move away from Turkish champions Galatasaray, despite his impressive performances since joining the club.
Osimhen’s former Napoli teammate, Diego Demme, has shared his thoughts on the striker’s future and explained why he would like to see him move to a bigger European club. The pair played together at Napoli for four seasons and were part of the team that won the Serie A title in the 2022/23 campaign, ending the club’s 33-year wait for the Scudetto.
Speaking during an interview with Ratings, Demme believes a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs would give the Super Eagles star more visibility and place him among the best in the world.
“I think Osimhen is very happy in Galatasaray because he likes the fans and they like him, but I still want to see him play for one of the biggest clubs in Europe in a league like La Liga or the Premier League”, the German told r.org.
“I think he has to do it, because he’s a really good striker, and he’d have more visibility than he currently has in Turkey.”
Osimhen initially joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in 2024 before the Turkish giants splashed a club-record €75 million to sign him permanently in 2025.
The 27-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from Galatasaray during the summer transfer window, with several top European clubs reportedly interested in signing him.
