Super Eagles’ winger, Henry Onyekuru is in advanced talks to join Kelechi Iheanacho’s Turkish club Bursaspor.
Fantik reported that Onyekuru is a free agent after he parted ways with another Turkish team, Genclerbirligi.
Bursaspor, who have initiated negotiations for the 29-year-old star, have made significant progress in the talks.
Since Onyekuru is a free agent, Bursaspor have the option to sign him whenever they want and are not rushing the process.
This is because even if Onyekuru signed, the registration of his contract will have to wait until January. The Nigerian player will not be able to play in official matches before January.
However, Onyekuru, who has been without a club for some time and therefore lacks training, will be able to join the team and start training with his new teammates.
Thus, he will be fully ready before the second half of the season.
Bursaspor want to make a half-season agreement and include an option clause in the contract.
