Baba Fasoranti Was A Man Of Courage, Discipline – Lam-Adesina’s Family

A top chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and gubernatorial aspirant, Dr Wasiu Ayobami Lam-Adesina, has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to mourn the passing of Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, the revered elder statesman and National Leader of Afenifere, who died on Tuesday at the age of 100.

Statement

Dr Lam-Adesina, in a press statement he signed on behalf of the family of Alhaji Lamidi Adesina who was a former governor of Oyo State, described the demise of Pa Fasoranti as a profound loss to his family, the Yoruba nation and Nigeria as a whole, noting that the deceased belonged to a distinguished generation of Nigerians whose lives were defined by service, conviction and an abiding commitment to the common good.

The soft-spoken politician added that the late elder statesman will be missed because of the roles he played as a stabilizing factor within and outside Nigeria’s political field.

Said Dr Lam-Adesina, “My late dad, Alhaji Lam Adesina was particularly fond of Baba Fasoranti because he was a very reliable politician. He was a man of courage and his leadership style was unique.

Prayers

“I will like to use this opportunity to pray for the repose of the soul of the deceased. May Allah console the family he left behind.”
