Key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, including the former First Lady of Oyo State and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Dr. Florence Ajimobi; Oyo State Coordinator of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Teslim Folarin; former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District; and an APC chieftain, Barrister Akeem Agbaje, have intensified reconciliatory and strategic engagements to strengthen the party’s unity and political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a post on Teslim Kolawole Folarin’s Facebook account, the discussions at the meeting focused on genuine reconciliation, inclusive leadership, and the need to foster renewed unity among party leaders and stakeholders to enhance the APC’s electoral prospects in the 2027 general elections.
The gathering was also seen as part of ongoing consultations aimed at addressing internal differences, strengthening party cohesion, and building a common front among the various tendencies within the Oyo State chapter of the APC.
The meeting comes amid growing political activities and realignments within the party as it prepares for the 2027 electoral contest, with reconciliation and collective mobilisation expected to play significant roles in its quest to reclaim power in Oyo State.
