The Institute For Dietetics In Nigeria (IDN), Oyo State Chapter, is set to commemorate the 2025 World Food Day with a one-day seminar titled ‘Hand in Hand For Better Foods and a Better Future’.
The event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, October 16th, at 10:00am at the Ring Road State Hospital, Oluyole, Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state.
The seminar aims to promote awareness on the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits, with a specific focus on ‘Workplace Wellness Programs For Promoting Healthy Eating Habits’.
In a statement released by the association and obtained by PMParrot, the seminar is expected to provide valuable insights on how to design and implement effective workplace wellness programs that promote healthy eating habits, boost productivity, and enhance overall well-being of Nigerians.
Expected at the event include the Oyo State Commissioner For Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Adewumi Ajetunmobi, Chairman, Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, Chief Medical Director, State Hospital, Ring Road, Ibadan, Dr. Adekunle Aremu among other experts in the field of dietetics and nutrition and healthcare professionals.
Dietitian Tunde Ajobo, the Oyo State chairman, Institute For Dietetics In Nigeria informed that all arrangements have been concluded for the successful hosting of the event.
World Food Day is celebrated annually on October 16 to raise awareness about food security, hunger and sustainable food systems.
