The lawmaker representing Ibadan South East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olayinka Omikunle, has applauded the state’s Seyi Makinde over the acquisition of surveillance aircraft for the state, describing the development as another milestone in the administration’s commitment to the safety and welfare of the people.
In a statement made available to journalists, Hon. Omikunle congratulated the people of Oyo State on what he described as a significant achievement, noting that the surveillance aircraft would strengthen the state’s security architecture and enhance efforts to protect lives and property.
The lawmaker said Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is about placing the interests of the people above every other consideration.
According to him, the governor’s performance over the past seven years has been marked by consistent delivery of impactful projects and policies across key sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and economic development.
Hon. Omikunle expressed confidence in Governor Makinde’s leadership qualities, stating that his people-oriented style of governance has inspired hope for a better Nigeria.

His administration has consistently delivered on its promises over the last seven years, and this latest investment in security is another testament to his commitment to the protection and well-being of Oyo State residents,” he said.
The lawmaker further stated that he believes Governor Makinde possesses the experience, vision, and capacity to provide effective leadership at the national level, expressing optimism that he would make an outstanding president if given the opportunity in the future.
Hon. Omikunle also thanked the governor for his unwavering commitment to good governance and urged the people of Oyo State to sustain the state’s developmental strides by supporting Hon. Abimbola Adekanmbi for Governor and voting for all candidates of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
He maintained that continuity of purposeful leadership would ensure greater progress, accelerated development, and improved living standards for the people of Oyo State.
