The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III has expressed optimism that the current economic recession being experienced by Nigerians will end within the next six months.

Speaking on the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s 80th birthday, the Alaafin of Oyo described the celebrant as a rare gem who has done tremendously well for Nigeria and Nigerians both as a military Head of State and civilian president.

Other eminent personalities who paid glowing tributes to the  former President included, the Olusin – Isanlu – Isin, Oba (Dr) Solomon Oluwagbenga Oloyede, the former Deputy Governor of Oyo State and Ambassador to Jordan, Alhaji Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja, the Chairman of National Population Commission (NPC), Alhaji Gbadamosi, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, (Edo & Delta States), Alhaji Daud Makanjuola Akinola.

They commended him for building both the Mosque and the Church with his library, stressing that by doing that, he is not only promoting the two religions but also uniting Nigerians irrespective of their religion, tribe or language.
