The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has marked 59 years of marriage with his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.
In a message shared on his X account on Tuesday, the cleric expressed gratitude to God for sustaining their union over nearly six decades.
Adeboye reflected on their marriage as a journey that included seasons of joy, challenges, personal growth, answered prayers, and many reasons for thanksgiving.
He noted that sustaining a marriage goes beyond celebrating happy moments, emphasising the need for daily commitment, patience, forgiveness, prayer, and mutual support through different phases of life.
He added that God’s presence had remained central to their home and family.
The 84-year-old also appreciated members of the public who have supported and prayed for him, his wife, and their family over the years.
He wrote, “Today, we look back with grateful hearts as we celebrate 59 years of marriage.
“It feels like yesterday that we began this journey together. Through the years, we have experienced seasons of joy, challenges, growth, answered prayers, and countless reasons to give God thanks.
“We have learned that marriage is not just about the beautiful moments. It is about choosing each other every day, giving room for growth, showing patience, forgiving, praying together, and trusting God through every season.
“Above all, we are grateful that God has been at the center of our home. Every step of the way, He has remained faithful.
“As we celebrate 59 years together, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving to God and appreciation for everyone who has loved, prayed for, and supported us and our family over the years.
“We are grateful for the journey so far, and we look forward to all that God still has in store. To God be all the glory.”
