Former Super Eagles striker, Peter Ijeh has revealed that he is facing tough times after quitting the round leather game.
Ijeh is suffering from asthma and his application for a new job has not yielded results following his departure as coach of Assyriska BK.
The striker does not know how he got the disease but has complained about the Scandinavian weather.
“I’m alive but I’m also dead. I am like a ‘living dead’ that continues to go. Every time I go to town, people say: Look at him, it’s him and not in a good way, ” Ijeh said to Göteborgs-Posten.
“Still Clubs are afraid of my applications. I do not understand why they do not respond. I see no reason. I did nothing wrong. I’ve paid the price, I still do. It is pathetic.
“I feel bad, I’ll admit. At this stage, it should not be me, hunting for a job.
“Something is wrong with the system, how to get the right people to the right place. Or is it just about who knows who?.”
The 40-year-old Ijeh starred for Malmo FF, IFK Gothenburg, FC Copenhagen, Viking FK, Syrianska FC and GAIS before he retired in 2012.
