Chief Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Fatai Amoo has expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 18 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Sunday Faleye scored the match opener while Togolese import Emmanuel Assiri grabbed the winner in the 84th minute to hand the side the three points, while attacking winger Wilfred Ammeh scored the consolation for the Minna outfit and 3SC are 22 points from 18 games..
Amoo said his side’s home matches in the top-flight are tough but the beauty of it is that they have always got the desired result.
“There is no game we have played so far on home ground that was easy but the key is we always get the desired result.
“Today’s (Sunday’s) game against Niger Tornadoes is not an exception; we still got the three points.
“I’m satisfied with the performance of the players as well as the result.
“The players exhibited good performance throughout the encounter and that’s a source of joy for me.
“Niger Tornadoes reacted positively to the outcome, they played quite well too but acceded to the fact that the best prepared side won the clash.
“Tornadoes’ coach Abubakar Bala is happy with his boys’ performance even in defeat,” Amoo said.
