The availability of Nigeria international striker, Odion Ighalo for Super Eagles’ next competitive fixture against South Africa on June 10 is in doubt as he is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Changchun Yatai’s Chinese Super League clash on Saturday.
The former Watford player, who was in sublime form as he opened his Chinese Super League account with a brace, was forced off with an injury in the 73rd minute of his team’s 3-2 loss to
Shanghai Shenhua after receiving a kick to the left ankle joint.
Changchun Yatai are taking no chances as their January signing was immediately rushed to  the hospital for treatment after the game at the Development Area Stadium.
Ighalo is thought to have suffered a recurrence of an old injury following the harsh tackle by an Opponent and his rehabilitation according to plan as he is expected to spend four weeks on the sidelines.
