The hope of junior international striker, Olanrewaju Kayode of featuring for the Super Eagles in the African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in June, has been dashed as his name was missing on the call-up list of the team to Corsica for training.
The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles star may be in the form of his life but this has not impressed manager, Gernot Rohr and his assistants one bit.
The 23-year-old failed to justify his invitation during the training sessions and the match on March 23 against the West Africans, and has been omitted from the latest roster.
He tallied his 19th and 20th goal of the season in Austria Vienna’s 4-1 rout of Sturm Graz on Saturday.
