Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi has dropped the biggest hint to lift his fans’ spirits that he will be available for the Nigeria upcoming African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa amid concerns about his fitness.
The Tianjin Teda player posted a photo on social media where he was undergoing rehabilitation at the gym saying he cannot wait to be back with his Chinese team and the Super Eagles.
”On the road to recovery, can’t wait to get back on the pitch with TEDA and my National Team #TianjinTeda #SuperEagles,” Mikel said on Instagram.
The 30-year-old Mikel has missed the last seven matches contested by Tianjin Teda in the Chinese Super League and went under the knife in England at the end of April.
He is expected to resume training at Tianjin Teda next week, all things being equal.
