Race for the signature of Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has become stiffer as English Premier League side, Leicester City have leapfrogged West according to reports.
British newspaper, The Telegraph is reporting that Iheanacho and Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson are on the wish list of Foxes manager, Craig Shakespeare.
It has been claimed that Manchester City have upped their asking price for the Nigerian to £25 million and want a buy-back clause in any deal taking the Nigeria International out of the Etihad Stadium.
Iheanacho has been declared surplus to requirements by manager Pep Guardiola, but he is open to idea of remaining in the Premier League despite interest from abroad.
The 20-year-old Iheanacho, who scored seven goals last season, is under contract with Manchester baded team until the summer of 2021.
