The Senator representing Osun East senatorial district, Senator Babajide Omoworare has joined other well meaning Nigerians to commiserate with the former governor of Osun and pioneer chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande over the demise of his wife, Mrs Omowumi Akande who died on Tuesday.
In the condolence message which was made available through his media aide, Tunde Dairo to journalists in Osogbo, Omoworare described the departed as a real mother, a pillar of support and epitome of virtuous womanhood.
His words: “we have lost a mother, a woman of virtue and value, a passionate, doting and loving mother to all. Mama Akande was a perfect definition of a woman and wife, her submissive, respectful and respectable personality is highly commendable. She was the most passionate fan and pillar of support to Baba Akande.
“Mama Omowumi Akande will be remembered for her modesty, cheerfulness and generosity and that the quality of life she lived and the enviable tracks she left behind are consoling.
“My heart and prayers are with Chief Adebisi Akande, the children, Akande family, the good people of Ila Orangun, government and the people of Osun State and All Progressives Congress family. May we all find enough fortitude to wade through this time, may all she left behind enjoy eternal guidance, may her soul rest in peace,” Omoworare said.
